Remembrance Day 2018

Friday 9th November, saw the pupils and staff of Belmont Secondary, stand in silence to commemorate the 100th anniversary, of the end of the first world war.

Some pupils, donned their cadet uniforms and both Sean Hopley and Jack Nesbitt (Year 10) recited ‘In Flanders Fields’ by John McCrae, before laying the poppy wreaths and crosses, below the laminated sentiments of KS3.

The pupils observed the 2 minute silence with utmost respect and wore their poppies with pride, bowing their heads in appreciation, as the last post played in honour of the fallen.
