Welcome to Belmont School.
At Belmont School, we are proud to provide an exceptional education for pupils aged 5–18 with complex social, emotional and mental health needs. Many of our pupils have also experienced difficulties in previous school settings, or face additional learning and communication challenges. We understand the impact these barriers can have, which is why relationships, trust and nurture sit at the heart of everything we do.
Our trauma-informed approach ensures that pupils feel safe, valued and understood. By combining high-quality teaching with strong pastoral care, we create the conditions where pupils can rebuild confidence, develop positive behaviours and engage fully in their learning.
Every child at Belmont benefits from small class sizes, personalised pathways and access to a wide range of clinical and therapeutic support. Our on-site specialists – including therapists and clinicians – work alongside teachers to provide targeted interventions that address individual needs and promote long-term wellbeing.
Through our Primary, Secondary and Vocational Training pathways, pupils enjoy creative, practical and enriching opportunities both in and outside the classroom. We set ambitious yet achievable goals, celebrate individuality and develop resilience – equipping pupils with the skills and confidence they need for life beyond school.
We warmly invite prospective parents and carers to arrange a visit and experience first-hand the caring, supportive environment that makes Belmont School such a positive place to grow and succeed.
